Should cost be the only consideration when making my decision?

No. There are countries in other parts of the world that can offer knee and hip replacement operations for a cheaper price. We work only with world-class hospitals in Taiwan, an advanced, developed country. While the cost of surgery in Taiwan is dramatically lower than in the United States, it can be slightly more expensive than some options in developing countries. While price is certainly a factor, patients should put a priority on safety, accreditation, modern facilities, rigorous hygiene standards, and well-educated doctors.
